(Electronics) After doing a lot of reviewing, I decided on the D3100 due to its high quality/sophisticated applications as well as its ability to create 1080p HD videos. This is my first DSLR and my pro buddies told me this would get me well on my way to gaining skills as a photographer. The items in this kit are great. The lenses (18-55mm Nikon and the 70-300mm Sigma) are amazing and give you all the range you need as an amateur. The other items (filters, flash, wide angle lens, etc.) are useful, and let you experiment with your new camera in various settings. My only advice is that you need a bigger camera bag than the one in the kit if you want to bring both your lenses when you travel.
